Mpwrs H. Mfi(Kot) and Co. report on the Live Stock Market, utr , ., for the weekending Thursday, December 1, I'-'Bl, aa follows-.—yesterday's Addirgton market vfis again fully supplied with all classes of stock, both sheep and cattle representing nn exceptionally large entry. There was about an average attendance of the trude, hut the sale taken a whole was. one of the most drugging experienced for many months. 'Hie dry weather of late Ins materia! ly afi'eoied our pastures, and bolh l.it an 1 store stock are now being rushed into the market in largo numbers. The (K'lu-iiid for mutton as shown on Wednesday was anything but brisk, severn! lines being turned out unsold, and sales as innde were marked by .1 slight decline in value*. In stores the bulk on offer were young sheep, and euch having boy.) n scarcity of Lite, sold at prices decidedly high in comparison to what was Uwiii paid for mutton. For the, heaviest and bo.it lines of fat crossbred wethers (shorn) 11s to 12s was being paid, 9s to 10s Gd ior medium weights, whilst in s-Uores we placed a draft of shorn hoggets at 8s G'i, and about 1000 woolly do at 13s. The lamb trade waa one of the most unHai.idfaetory features of tho day's sale, thorc being a large entry, and an entire absence on the part oli the tra !e to purdiase, except on a very limiterl scale. It was with grent diticnlty th-it salesmen •..•o'dd elicit ;t ! id for any but the best lots. 7s being paid for a few pens, the balance '.•it her sun I, home unsold, or disposed ot at iro:n 5s to 6f per head. It is evident !:'nt b'itch"rs have but little inquiry for f it buiius ut the pre.-itiit tima, and until {{><:,!■■; ;.-i ;t'i improvement, owners will, no ■h-:V. hold them over for store puipoßes. . .. ; i.H! .-übj-.ict, v>e won d strongly _ .. ij, ;ji •s.i wtiv) r.:e regular suppliers

of our market the necessity of getting their lambs "tailed "in the proper season, as by so doing they would give themselves a chance of a double outlet for disposal, viz., that when the market for trade purposes is overdone, as now, the surplus lines would be bought by farmers and others as stores. Although the supply of fat cattle was less in proportion than any other class of stock in the market, the competition shown was equally dull; with the rest of the day's transactions; and prices were easy and more in favoi of buyers. Prime steers brought £7 10s, £8 5s to £9 ; medium weight and light heifers, £5 5s to £7. In stores the market was overcrowded, and tin's faofc, togi-ther with (ho dry weather, caused buyers lo net with grewt caution,, The pig traile seems to have come almost to a standstill, as it is .li'li-ult to gut either fat or store, esiepL at ridiculously low rates. The totals yarded for t.ho day compiiaed 7510 shuep, C 52 head of cattle, and 123 pigs.
