T"N pursuance of " The Regulation of X Elections Act, 1881," I, JUSTIN AYLMER, Returning Officer for the Electoral District' of Akaroa, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 9th day of November, 1881, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as a Member for the said Electoral District, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Courthouse, Akaroa, at noon on the Ist day of December, 1881, and that the Poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several Polling Places of the said District on the 9th day of December, 1881.
