Under the circumstances I beg to say that I cannot conceive how any other body can fill the place of the Road Board, as the gentlemen I have been connected with on thai ', body for a number of years have always been found to be most straightforward 3 and honest in all their transactions, and 5 in disposing of the public moneys placed I under their trust. I beg most respectfully to say that i; returned I shall always endeavor to dc my duty in a trustworthy manner, as ] have hitherto done, and I consider it is r quite ti'iic the Ratepayers had a meeting, at which all Ratepayers shoulc , att nd, to decide whether they will give H up the County Council or the Roac Board, for it is impossible to keep U| two rating bodies.
