WALTER RODWAY, 191, WILLIAM STREET, SYDNEY, Has received instructions from London to present Every Reader taf this Journal with a $ FIRST-CLASS 5 ENGRAVING, 36 INCHES BY 24 INCHES, On Plate Paper, from the world-famed Pictures by LANDSEER, MILLAIS, <md numerous other long recognised and celebrated artists The presentation is made with the view of encouraging artistic taste in New Zealand, and the donors look confidently to the recipients for support in the future. The Societywill be amply compensated for their present costly distribution if within the next twelve months some portion of the public extends its patronage to the Sydney representative of the London office. The following are a few of the Plates to be presented, namely : — ECCE HOMO, THE BLIND BEGGAR, CHRIST LEAVING THE PB2ETORIUM, DEATH THE GATE OF LIFE, MORS JANUA VTTM. WINDSOR CASTLE. NO ENGRAVING Will be forwarded unless the following conditions are strictly complied with ; and the distribution will take place in rotation, as the applications are received : — I. Each Applicant must cut out the following COUPON and enclose it with 2s 9d. (to defray coat of carriage, copyright, rolling, casing etc.) either by Post Office Order on the General Post Office, Sydney, or in stamps. 11. Each address must be distinctly written. 111. Without the COUPON, no Picture will be sent under the Society's usual charge of ONE GUINEA. IV. Applications for the Plates will be attended to in rotatio ias they are r - ceived. V. No application for the Gift can be entertained FIFTY DAYS after the date upon which this announcement appears. VI. Particular attention is dichvn to the fact that no Picture will be forwarded unless the appended COUPON is enclosed to the address of the Distributors, together with the sum of 2s 9d, to defray the unavoidable outlay for copyright, carriage, etc. oouiPOiNr.
