STOCK REPORT.

Owing to the rough weather on Tuesdny night and Wednesday morning, only a limited supply of fat stock came forward. Sheep.—The fat sheep offered comprised principally good and prime quality erossbreds, with a larger proportion of merinos ■than UMial. For the latter descriptions, the biddinge were auimntei), and the vario; a lots changed hands at prices a shade in advance of late riles Prime cross-bred welhers sold from 17s to 20s each ; good ditto at from 15s to 16s 6vl ; prime merinos realised 12s 3d ; good ditto, 10s to lla. Wt< quote 2-fd per lb as an average for nrutton. Store merino wethers sold from '7h to 7s 9d encb. Cattle.—ln fat rattle, a few lines of prime bullocks realised from £7 to £8 10s AV'e quote 25s per IOOH'S an an average for prime beef. A large supply of young stores were oft'e ed the bulk of which found buyers at advanced prices on late salon. Two-year-old steers and heifers ■brought £4 2s Gd ; 18 months old ditto, £2 16e ; calves to 39s each.

Messrs 11. Miitson and Co report:—At the miction of stock at Little River, held on ToKsdny last, there was a good entry ot cattle, but no sheep were yarded, owners preferring , to hold until shearing. About 220 bead of cnttle found their way to the auction, and about 300 changed Imndrf privately, nt prices comparing favourably with town r-itos. There was a attendance of the public, and the sale passed off satisfactorily.
