The cargo of frozen meat ex steamship Cuzco was Bold to-day. The beef realised from 4d to per II), and mutton from 5d to s£d per lb. The condition of the meat was not equal to that of the mutton brought by the Protos. The meat market at the present time is flat.
Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, remains at 56s New Zeal and, ex store, 555. Adelaide flour, ox warehouse, 41s. Total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain, 1,860,000 quarters. Australian tallow—Best beei'j 383 Gel ; best mutton, 40s 6<l. At the wool sales to-day, 10,200 bales wero catalogued. The tone of the Auction was steady, but the demand was not active. Paris, September 10. Telegrams aro to hand from Tunis announcing that renewed fighting lias taken place between the French troops and the Arab insurgents in the neighborhood of Gallipoli. The European inhabitants of the town are panic-stricken, and have taken lel'uge on board the shipping in the Port, and the foreign consuls' residences. A meeting took place to day ntDantzig. between the Czar Alexander IJI and the Grand Duke Vladimir and Alexis, and the Emperor of Germany, and Piinoo Frederick William. The latter visited the Russian Imperial party on board the Czar's yacht, in which his Majesty is now cruising in the Baltic. Kl. De Gicrs, a LtiiHsian Privy Councillor, and Prince Bismarck were also present at the interview, which was marked throughout by great cordiality. In compliance with a request .nnde him, Prince Bismarck promised at an early date to introduce a Bill into the German Parliament, providing fur the restoration of the Legation to the Vatican, and the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Imperial Government and the Holy See. Washington, September 8. The latest news from Long Branch regarding the President reports that the feverish symptoms which appeared shortly after his arrival have not been allayed, and his condition has improved. Tokonto, September 10. The International Sculling Regatta commenced here to-day. In the preliminary heat Edwards and Trickett of Sydney came in last. September 11. The further heats in the International Kegatta were rowed to-day, and resulted in Paris, Boullay and Hauaen taking first places in their contests. Trickett and Gandar came in second. Calcutta, September 11. Intelligence is to hand fram Afghanistan reporting that the Ameer Abdul Itahman has refused to sign fresh overtures on the pait of Ayoub Khan for a Buspension of hostilities and lias commenced his advance from Khelat on Candahar.
