The Promoters of this Association in introducing it to the public, wish to draw attention to the benefits to be derived by the establishment in Canterbury of a Company to be worked on cooperative principles, having for its objects the furtherance of tho Farming Interests. These interests would be ' served by— Offering facilities to the Farmer for the Storage and Shipment of his produce to the Home or other Markets, and the appointment of Agents in different localities for the furtherance of this object. It is to be believed that a very considerable saving may be effected in Freight, Charges, and Marino Insurance, particularly in the first named, by acting with the kindred Farmers' Association at Timaru. A matter which will be considered by the Association will be the grading and classification of Ship- , ments of produce in order to facilitate their sale at the most advantageous prices. Acting as general Merchants in procuring for sale to the Shareholders, Comsacks, Woolpacks, Agricultural Implements, Seeds, and other articles.
