AKAROA RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Before Justin Aylmeu, Esq., R.M. UNREGISTERED DOGS. James S. Savage was charged with being the owner of four unregistered dogs. Fined 20s and costs. L>. Mulholland, who owned to tho possession of one collarless animal was mulcted in a similar penalty. Henry White pleaded guilty to a similar offence. In consideration of defendant's circumstances, the Bench inflicted the mitigated penalty of Is and costs. CATTLE TRESPASS. J. J. Kissel was charged with allowing a horse to wander. Fined 5s and costs. UNLAWFUL DRIVING. Martin Daly was charged with driving two horses through the town during prohibited hours. Defendant pleaded the affair was a pure accident. Tho horses broke away from him and he was not able to head them. Case dismissed. CIVIL CASES. T. S. Johnson v. Mary Johnson. Claim £7 10s for rent. Defendant stated that her husband had taken the house. He had since left the place, and apparently the colony. Plaintiff nonsuited. The Court then adjourned.
