STOCK REPORT.

At the Aldington yards, on Wednesday, 6481 cheep, 223 bond of cattle, were penned for tbe week's supply. Sheep.—There was a very large supply of fat sheep, the bulk of which consisted of pruie and good quality cross-breds, a large portion being fmm the Ti'iinru and Coiirtenay districts. Notwithstanding the heavy supply offered, the biddings thioughout the sale were fairly good, and the vnriouß lots changed hands at prices fully equal to late rates. Only a Miiall supply of stores were yarded ; the demand for this description line not been 80 keen of Inte, this being in a great measure due to the fact that a large number of the lowlying farms aro flooded in consequence of the late heavy rains. The following prices wera obtained :— Prime cross bn-.dH Tealistsd from 16s to 18s good do, from 13s to 15s 3d ; second nnd medium, from 12* to 12h 9d. We quote. 2§ per lb as an average for mutton. Prime morinos brought 13s; good ditto, 10a ; store merino owes in lamb, sold at 7a 3d : croas-bred hojrgetts, 8s 6<l. Cattle. —A few draft* of prime sorts came to hand, the reumiuder being of very ordinary qualify ; the supply of stores was again very limited. Good nnd prime ■cattle made an average of from 28s to 25a per lOOib : second quality, 21a.
