MessiM H. Matson and Co. report:— On Thursday, at our Cani«-sbury Wool Stores, we held our uauul weekly sale of the above. Prices as under, viz.:—Butchers' beet cross-bred sheeptkiiiH, Oβ to Gd Gd each ; second quality, os to 5a lid each ; medium, 3s 9d to 4s lid each; inferior, 2e to 2b lid each ; butclxirs' beat merino*, os Gd to 4a 2d each; medicm, 2e.6d to 3s 5d each; inferior and lately shorn, Is 9d to 2b -5d each. Country skin- made, for be>" % 4.8 6d to 5s 9il each ; secotxl quality, 2b 6d to 3s lid each ; inferior, la to 2a 2d each, Butchers' best dry rough fat, 2sd to 2|d per lb ; second quality, 2d per lb—none at a losa figure liides, salted, 4d per lb ; damaged hides, 2£d per lb ; calfskiua, 4d per lb. Tallow, in bags and packages, 2d, 2}d, 2|d, and 3d per ll>; t.'llow, in ciuk-s, to 24s per cwt.
