GARDEN MEMORANDA FOR THE MONTH OF JULY.

KITCHEN GARDEN. Pill iii another sowing of peas and broad beans ; any one having a piece of friable ground might risk a few rows of early potatoes. Although the weather is tempting, it is not advisable to plant many potatoes nor sow small seeds till the beginning of August. When (be ground has been previously dug, any of tho cabbage tribe muy be planted. Take advantage of the present fine weather to transplant fruit trees and bushes, and proceed with pruning red and white currant- , , .vhich require very close pruning. The black currant requires very little cutting, merely keeping the bushes moderately thin oL : wood. Pnine and tie raspberry canes, leaving only four or five canes to each stool. Pi ant Strravvberries and finish the dressing of old beds. Plant hedgerows of thorn, hoily. laurel, etc. FLOWER GARDEN. See that the ground in this department is all dug up to tho action of the weather. Flower roots may now bo divided and replanted ; bulbs may still bo set where it lias been omitted ; see that the planting and pruning of roses be attended to early, and that they have a good dressing of rich, half-decomposed manure. Hardy annual and perennial flower seeds may now be sown.
