London, July 8. In the House of Commons to-day the consideration of the Irish Land Bill in committee was proceeded with, and further progress whs made with the measure. Clause 12 was, after' discussion, postponed, but clauses 13 to 24 were finally passed without amendment. Washington, July 8. This morning's bulletin reports that the President continues to make satisfactory progress, and is. hourly gaining strength. His medical attendants are sanguine of his complete recovery. Cape Town, July 7. Intelligence is to hand from Pretoria thut the Royal Commission empowered to settle the frontier and other questions in connection with the' • Transvaal, is making good progress, and every hope is entertained that a successful issue will result from its labors.
