The following is from tho report for the vouk ending Friday, June 10 : — Potatoes—the market is in a very mer'•uiiiil state and is like the barometer, much i fluenced by tho weather. Prices this u'-ek are a shade lower than last—27s Gd i-> ;Jos, at country stations, being the figures nt ivhich business his been done. Sacks rstra. Grass Seed—There is little or no busii i'sh doing at present, but prices are cii finely firm. Well cleaned farmers sami< cs, from 4s G I to 5s per bushel ; indift rently cleaned, according to sample. 'C >• ksfoot, 3d to 3_Vd per lb. Cheese and Butter—lhe former 3d to ."id ; the latter 8d to B£d. Ha}' — £2 10s to £2 los per ton,delivered in Christchurch.
