BANKS PENINSULA FARMERS CLUB.

To the Editor.

Sir, —Very great interest lias been taken in Mr Bowron's lecture on cheese factoiies. The subject was largely discussed at the last club meeting, and I noticod that different opinions existed regarding the factory system. I read the lecture, and also a letter from Mr Bowron, in one of the Christchurch papers. I see that Mr Bowron intends returning to England in a few weeks'.time. On consideration I am inclined to think that Mr Bowron is a very useful man, and his advice is not to bo undervalued. We want a little knowledge of factory system, as factories may be erected in some parts , of the County; and when a gentleman is here that is willing to give us information on the subject, I am inclined to think that the Club committee would not lie going wrong, if they were to invite Mr Bowron down to the public meeting, which I see is about to be held. Ido not think it will be for our interest for Mr Bowron to g'> hack, to, London with an impression of our selfcnneeitedtiess in rejecting to receive tie valuable information he is capable of giving. Of course I am only suggesting what I think may be of benefit, to the Club.—l am, etc.,
