(By Telegraph) . Auckland, May 10. A large two storey bonding in Wakefield street, occupied by H. Hitobetis, manufacturer of blood restorer, was totaly destroyed by fire last night. A double cottage adjoining , was partially destroyed. All Hitcken's fiu'nitme and plant were consumed. He was insuied for £500 in the Royal. The house was owned by the City Council and was insured for £100 in the National, and £190 in the South British. George Foster, a general dealer in Wellesley street, rose this morning in his usual health, but after lighting the fire he went up to his bedroom where he was seized with a violent fit of coughing. Froth oozed from his mouth, and. he died in a few minutes. At the in--1 quest a verdict of death from natural causes, supposed to be congestion of the ' brain from violent coughing, was returned.
