AKAROA RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
* Tuesday. April 5, 1881. Before G. H. Saxton Esq., J.P., and His Worship the Mayor. DRUNKENESS. Happy (a Maori) was charged with being drunk and disorderly. Fined 10s and costs, and cautioned not to come before the Bench again. CIVIL OASES. Harris v. Honey. Claim £3 10s 7d. Defendant pleaded indebted. Judgment accordingly. Johnson v. Grange. Claim, £2 2s. Plaintiff claimed the above sum for damages sustained by the alleged neglect of the defendant in allowing his horse to get away from his custody. The Bench declined to hear the case and adjourned it till Tuesday, April 12. The Court then adjourned.
