The Government has instituted proceedings against; a/newspaper called Die Freiheit (the Liberty) an organ of German Socialists,' printed arid ; ! issued in London for publishing articles eulogising the act of the murderer of the Czar, and urging the assassination of other Crowned Heads .to gain the ends of socialism. > ;
March 30.
It is announced that the Ambassadors of the Powers at Constantinople acting under instructions from their Governments have intimated to the Porte their acceptance of its last proposal for the settlement of the Greek frontier— namely, to cede to Greece a larger extent of territory in Thessaly than previously offered, but the district of Epirus and the island of Crete to remain attached to Turkey.
Earl Beaconsfield continues to improve, and is expected soon to be restored to health. 7
Athens, March 30.
In accordance with the decision of the, Powers to accept the Porte's proposal, to cede territory in Thessaly alone to Greece, the envoys of the Powers in this city are strongly ;_, urging the Hellenic Government to agree to the proposal, aud thus arrive at a settlement of the,Turko-Greek difficulty.
