Wis learn from the Press that the funeral obsequies of the late Sir Cracroft Wilson, K.C.5.1.,C.8., took place on Saturday after noon. Shortly after two-o'clock the procession left Cashmere, and; in proof of how greatly the deceased gentleman was respected, it may be mentioned that the qavalcado was considerably over a mile in length. His Lordship the Primate, together with the Revs. H.C.M. Watson, C. Bowen, and A. ELECTION OF COMMITTEES. r | HIE householders of the undermenJL tioned School Districts, that is to say, the districts of French Farm ' Okain's Bay having failed to elect Committees at the annual meeting held on January 24th, the Board, in pursuance of the powers in that behalf conferred by " The Education Act, 1877," Section 66, hereby directs that a public meeting of the householders in every such district be held on Monday, the twenty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty one, at seven o'clock in the evening, for the election in each district of seven householders (Section 64) to form the Committee for such district for the year ending with the fourth Monday in January next. The place of meeting shall be the schoolhouse in each district. The Board further directs that the fir.t meeting of eacli School Committee be held in thn place appointed for the election, and iinrnwliatcly after the election upon the same evening. J- V.
