It is considered to be improbable that the division on the Reform Bill to-night in the Assembly will be a party one. After the second reading Mr Murray Smith will move to refer the Bill to a joint committee of the Assembly and Council, but it i& not known what action Government will take in the matter. A discussion took place in the Assembly last night on the question of prosecuting " The Argus " for its criticisms on the action of Government, but the matter was allowed to drop without auy decision being come to. Sydney, March 3. In the Legislative Assembly last night, Mr Coombes, K.M.G., gave notice of motion in favor of a petition to the Queen, praying for the institution of an enquiry into the working of the Court of the High Commissioner of the Western Pacific.
