To (lie Editor, Public Opinion. < Pear Sir, — I know you always take An interest in our sex, and so, sir, As I have a complaint to make, I thought it wise to let yo« know, sir, That all the girls around, these parts Are vexing, rue with chaff or banter:. Tbey say 1 can't snare spoonies' hearts— I have not :got a Tarn o' Shanter. The photo that I serd will show The fashion of the hat I'm wearing, Twas bought about six months ago, It's trimmed-with ribbons red and flaring. At church I often sit and sigh With, envy when tall Miss Mcßanter Sails up the aisle, while every eye Is fixed upon her Tarn o'.Shanter. Oh ! sir, I wish you'd drop a lino To Ma, 'tis she won't let me wear it ; I purchased one, a neat design, But Ma cried out, "I can't abenr if," 'Tis cruel conduct on her part, For I could win just in a canter, ' ATme young dashing fer'ow's heart, If I had on a Tain 0' Shanter, Yours truly, Timaru Fanjjy FAWN.
