Messrs H. Matson and (>, report :—On Tiiurdday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, we held out usual weekly sale of the above. W r e sod 508 pelts at 2s and 2s Ideach, others in proportion. O.ir catalogue for the day consisted of 3512 sheepskins and pelts, 121 bags rough fat, Gi hides and calfskins, a few casks nnd packages of tailow. and iicveral bags of wool, locks and pieces, tho whole of which were disposed of at quotations as under, via :—Best woolly cross-breiU made from 5s to 5s lid each ; best woolly merinos, 5s to Gs 3d ; best, cross-bred pchs, Is lid to 2 J . Id each; bet merino pelts, Is 21 to Is G 1 each ; small and inferior quality, 3d to 8d each ; best lambs Is lOd to 2s Id each, second •■quality is 4d to Is 9d each, small and inferior lid to Is 3d each. Butchers' best rough fat made 2d, to 2} I per lb, second quality. IJI to 1-J-d per lb, heated and iniVrior' Id to ig-'d per lb. Hides 3JI ; damaged hides, 2jd per lb ; calfskins 4d per lb. Tallow ljd to 2Jd per lb. Wool, in bales, not sold ; do, in bags, Gd to Sid per lb; pieces 3d, to s|l: locks, lil to 3yd per lb.
