The weather during tho waek has been most fr.vorahio for harvest operations, and the reporth to hand from the various districts in form us that full advantage is being taken of it, and wotk pushed forward vigorously. The market has been quiet, few farmers having been in town. Old wheat lin-.ls buyers at 4s to 4s 3d ; new, for immediate delivery, is quoted at •',s 8.1 to 3s i)d, millers being the buyers. There has been a slight enquiry for chick wheat, and small lines have been sold at la 8d to 2s. Oats continue thoroughly inactive. Prime milling stand at Is Gd to Is 7d ; feed at Is 3d to la sd. Tho busi .noss passing has been very limited. New ■barky is quoted at 3< Gd and upwards for best samples. Flour has seen a very fair enquiry at £11. New season's cocksfoot. is offering freely, but up to the present .not much has changed hands. Prices have not yet been determined. Sellers asking 2-pl to 3d ; buyers offering 2£d to 2jJ-d, according to sample. Tho seed this season will be, as a whole, of very fine quality. Butter is quoted at Gd, fo.b. Cheese, very dull of sale at 3£d to 4d. Hams and bacon -unaltered.
