Matson and (Jo, report :—On Thursday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, Wβ held' out usual weekly sale of the above, lit Id last week »t our Wool Store* ; wo catalogued 2543 sheepskins and pelts. 260 lambskins, 80 ox hides, 119 bags and packages of butchers' rough fat, and a few bags of wool. There was an average attendance of the tnulc, but the decline in the value of pelts which took place last week was in no way arrested, and in many instances prices were even a shade lower. Woolly skins brought 4s Gd to b's t)d ; butchers'cross-bred pelts, 10! to Is Id; inferior and merino do, Gd to 9d ; latnbrikinu, is 3d to Is Gd ; rough fat, 2d to 2§d ; boated, l : id per lb ; salted bides, ; calfskins, -id per lb ; a few bags of washed wool, 7{jd to Is Ojd per lb. With the exception of the eliglit dulness in the price of pelts before mentioned, prices were satisfactory, and every line changed .owners.
