ELECTION OF COMMITTEES. rpilE BOARD, in pursuance ol JL power in that behalf conferred by " Tlic Education Act 1877 " (section Gi) hereby directs that a Public Meeting of the householders in every School District throughout the Educational District of North Canterbury, bo held on MONDAY, the twenty-fourth day oi January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one', at 7 o'clock in the evening, for the election in each district of seven householders (section 64) to form the Committee for such district for the year ending with the fourth Monday in January next year. The place of meeting shall be the Schoolhouso in each district which is provided with a SchooJhouse, and this is understood to mean the Main Schoolhouse in any district which has more than one school. In the districts in which schools are not yet built, the places of meeting shall be as follow:— Flemington—Wheatstone Hotel Huruimi—llurunui Hotel Kirwee—Kirwce Hotel Mason's Flat—Horsely Downs Station The Board further directs that the first mooting ot each School Committee be held in the place appointed for the elections, and immediately after the election, upon the same evening. The Board requests the Chairman of cadi public meeting to make to the Board, immediately after the election, a return of the names of the several householders elected to form the Committee, and recommends that each Chairman of Committee report his own election as soon as possible. "VTOTICE is hereby given that the _I_N Okain's District Road Board propose Lo stop all that piece of road containing by admeasurement two acres, more or less, running between Sections GIO2 and ',);■} 20, commencing at the road forming the south-west boundary of these sections, and extending in an easterly direction to its junction with the road passing through Section 1)329, as the same is delineated on the plan.
