Her progeny have also been very successful at shows, Princess Maud 3rd having taken the Great National Prizes at Ballarat and Kyneton. Prince Charlie, reckoned to be now the best horse in Canterbury, was imported from Scotland by Mr W. Boag. He was bred by Sir James Nickol Fleming, Knockdon. and was got by Prince Alfred, out of the celebrated Darling, clam of Prince of Wales. This horse is, without question, the most noted Stallion ever bred in Scotland, and at all the principal Shows, his Stock are conspicuous prize-takers.
