WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, HIDES AND TALLOW REPORT.

Meeers H. Matson and Co. report—On Friday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, we held our usual woekly sale of the above. Owing no doubt to the postponement of sale, caused by the usual sale day falling on Anniversary Day, our catalogue was smaller than usual, and the attendance of fellmongers moro limited than on ordinary occasions, prices slightly suffering in consequence. Our catalogue consisted ot 1910 sheepskins, 101 bags rough fat, 8G hides a few small packages tallow, and IQB bajys woo' and locks and pieces, the whole of which wore cleared at the undermentioned quotations—viz., best ■cross-bred woolly skins made to 6s 5d oach, and best merino full wools made from 5a 6d to Gs 4d each. Butchers' pelts, for best, Is 4d to Is 8d each; second quality, 10d to lg 3d each ; inferior and lately shorn, 3d to 9d each ; best lambs nude Is 5 J to Is 8d each ; seGond quality mado Is 2d to Is 4d each ; inferior, Is •«ach ; butchers' best rough fat, dry and -well saved, to 2£d per lb ; second quality, lsd to 2d per lb ; inferior, 1-jj-d to Jjfdperlb; tallow from I±<l to 2£(t per lb ; bides, salted, 3|<l; damaged hides, ; calfskins, 4d ; wool in bags, Gd to B|d per lb ; pieces, 3|d, to G£d per lb ; locks, Id to 4d per lb.
