OUR REPRESENTATIVE.
To the Editor,
Sir, —T am enabled to state, on good authority, that Mr Montgomery has declined to addmss his constituents before May next. In pursuing such a determination, I think the interests of the electors can hardly have been consulted. The wish has been pretty generally expressed that Mr Montgomery should meet the electors at the earliest opportunity. Very strange treatment has been doled out to the Peninsula, and how far our member has been mixed up with it should, if only for his own sakn, be explained without delay. lam told that he is expected in Akaroa on Dec. IG, and if that opportunity of meeting us is neglected, sinister designs will most assuredly be recorded against him,—l am, etc., ELECTOR.
