POSTAL SERMCE, To the Editor.
■ Sir^ —What are we coining to, or rather do the powers that be intend to completely isolate, by slow and tortuous processes the county and borough of Akaroa ? I'm drawn to ask the above queries by observing a notice placarded upon tbe Post Office, which said notice informs the lieges that mails via Pigeon Bay have ceased being carried " until further notice."
With Truthful James I enquire—" Can such things be? " But I trust, sir, that the Mayor, Chairman of County Council, or some of the Road Board notables, will "go " for the Postmaster-General and enquire from him the reason why we are treated in such a disgraceful and cavalier fashion.—lndignantly and growlingly I remain yours, MAC.
