Messrs 11. "M-itson and Co. report—On Thursday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, v/e held our weekly sale of the above. There was the usual attendance of felli>. and owing to there having been no sn c during the Show week, our catalogue exhibited an exceedingly large fiury if sheepskins, hides, and brg-i of uifc, notwithstanding which our quotations for nheepskins are equally as good as of those of any s.'de held this season. Butchers' best cross-breds made Gs to 7s each ; second quality.made 5s to 5s lid ; •iK-diiim, 3a 9d to 4s lid each; butchers' ;>e>»c merino nmde 6s to 6s lOd each ; second quality, 5s to 5s lid each ; medium, 3s 6d to 4s lid each ; lambskins, Is to Is 7d ; pelts, 4d to Is Id each; country skins, for best, 5s 3d to 7s each ; others. is to 4s Gd each, as per description and cars-taken in the preservation. Butchers' best rough fat made 24/1 to 2gd per lb ; second quality, 2<l per lb ; infurior, \\\ to hides,34/1 per lb; damaged hides, 2)si per lb ; calfskins, 4d per lb ; tallow unsold.
