■Mr A. N. Walsh, a prominent member of the Irish Land League, and Mr Healy, private secretary to Mr Parnell, have been committed for trial on the charge of intimidation. A sculling match took place over the usual champion course on the Thames to-day between Laycock of Sydney, and George Hosmor of Boston, U.S., for £200 a-side. The race resulted in a a somewhat easy victory for Laycock by three lengths.
An indictment against the Land Leaguers in Ireland has been lodged. Mr John Ireland has been appointed to act as referee in the sculling match bptween Trickctt and Haalan*
