Wellington, Oct. 25

News has been received from Wellington that there will be no interference with the law in the case of Ah Lee. The prisoner is exceedingly quiet in his demeanour, but still asserts his innocenco of the murder, saying whenever the subject is mentioned "Me no kill Misse Young." Prisoner will be informed through an interpreter that the sentence of death is to be carried out, and it will take effect within seven days after receipt of the statutory notice from His Excellency the administrator of the Government. This notice may be expected to reach the sheriff about Thursday.
