LITTLE AKALOA SCHOOL COMMITTEE. To the Editor.
Sir, —Will you kindly allow us a email space in your columns to verify the statement made by Mr J. B. Barker as to the onesided and untruthful report which appeared in Thk Mail, of tho meetings of the Little Akaloa School Committee on the Gth and 18th of September, by Mr H. V. Chichester; and to add that tho meeting of the 18th ult. never resolved itself into a public meeting; that Mr J. W. Bennett's resignation was sent in in accord* ance with Article 69 of the Education Act, and was accepted by the Committee ; and that the meeting did not adjourn, as stated by Chichceter, aa tli© minuto-book shows ; and also at the same meeting Mr Chichester did not instruct the gentlemen in School Committee business, as stated by Mr Barker ? By inserting this you will oblige us.—We arc, etc.,
