ECLAT, by Camden, out of Prestige, by Premier (imp.) ; out of Sheil-na-Guira, by Rory O'More 'imp.) ; out of Nora Creina (imp.) ; Camden, by Warhawk (imp.); out of Calliope, by iEther (imp.); out of Cassandra, by Tross(imp.) ; out of Alice Grey, by Emigrant (imp.) ; out of Gulnare (imp.). ECLAT is closely related to Dagworth, The Barb, Yattendon, and Maid-of-All Work ; the latter won over £2000 in stakes, and, like Eclat, is out of a Premier mare. King Phillip, by Camden, out of a daughter of Sheil-na-Guira, is nearly full brother to Eclat, and won several races in New Zealand ; and, lastly, Eclat is closely related to the celebrated horse of the day—Chester. TO STAND THIS SEASON. The Pure-bred Clydesdale Stallion CHEVALIER. Bred by William Boag, Esq., Fendalltown. CHEVALIER, by Prince Charlie, dam Princess Maud (imported from Victoria, and bred by Mr Olgio, of Sunbury); by Baron? of (imported from Scotland)'; out of Princess Maud 3rd, bred by Messrs Mclntosh Bros., by the imported horse Champion, out of their imported mare Princess Maud Ist, who was never beaten on any show ground in Great Britain or Victoria. Her progeny have also been very successful at shows, Princess Maud 3rd having taken the Great National Prizes at Ballarat and Kyneton. Prince Charlie, reckoned to be now the best horse in Canterbury, was imported from Scotland by Mr W; Boag. He was bred by Sir James NicV.ol Fleming, Knockdon, and was got by Prince Alfred, out of the celebrated Darling, dam of Prince of Wales. This horse is without question, the most noted Stallion ever bred in Scotland, and at all the principal Shows, his Stock are conspicuous prize-takers. Besides the connection between Prince Charlie and Prince of Wales on the dam's side, the sire of Prince Charlie, Prince Alfred, was got by Prince of Wales's sire, The General, which makes the relationship very close indeed. Chkvalier is a beautiful dark dapple bay, and was foaled on December 24th, 1873, and for symmetry and substance! he cannot be surpassed. Chkvalier will be at Akaroa every Monday, and at Little River every Wednesday. Terms—£3, payable January 1, 1881. Guarantee, £± 10s. G.-oomage Fee, ss, payable at time of service.
