Government has given notice of the withdrawal of £145,000 from the banks, leaving now £5,800,000. Sailed—Hero, for New Zealand. Brisbane, Oct. 11.
A demon tration has taken place against the Government for the action taken by them, with regard to the mail contracts via Torres Strait.
