PIGEON BAY ROAD BOARD.

A special meeting ©f this Board was held on Sept. 18, to hear Mr Holmes, agent for Mrs E. Helmee, support his objections to Fenton's road. Mr Holmes having then been called upon, examined witnesses in support of his objections to Fenton's Road. After Mr Holmes had addressed the Board, he, with the members and the witnesses, left, to go over the ground and see the different routes. On the return of the members, the Board resumed consideration of the matter. It was proposed by Mr Buduaseconded by Mr Pettigrew, and carried unanimously—That the Board adhere to the track surveyed by its engineer, as publicly notified and gazetted.
