Invitations have been issued for a conference of Representatives of the various Colonies on the Chinese question during the Exhibition. Mr Berry introduced his Reform Bill in Assembly last night. He closely follows the lines of his recent manifesto The discussion on the measure will, as already announced, be deferred until next year.
(FROM THE LYTTKIiTOir TIMES. London, Sept. 6. The match between All England and the Australians was commenced to-day. The Home Team went first to the wickets, and when stumps were drawn for the day^had lost 8 wickets for 410 runs. Mr W. G. Grace scored 152 The attendance was very large. The fielding of the Australians was excellent, and the weather throughout the day was very fine. A capital wicket was pitched, and the ground was in good order. Spofforth was absent.
