Messrs W. 11. Wood as'd Co. report as follows:— , Wβ held a sale of cattle at Mr Shadbolt a yards, Head ot the Bay, yesterday, wlwn o<s head were yarded, 35 cows mostly in calf, 14 heifer* upringing to calf, and 7 bullocks. The dairy cows were from fair to medium quality, the heifers and bullocks were barely an average line. Biddings for cows were languid, and it was difficult to place the few lines we did, owing to settlers ideas of value being so much in advance of those of buyers, (.town springing: to cnlf we quote at Li. One lot of 4 cowa, Mr J. KnightV, sold at L 7. Heifer* stores npringing we quoto at L;{ 2* Gd. Hacks, as usual, no demand for auction.but in this stock owners bad much Jarger ideas than buyers.
