Sydney, August 20. The Albion sailed yesterday for Auckland.

In the Legislative Assembly last night the Colonial Treasurer announced that the Government intend this session to introduce a Bill to authorise the construction of a trans-continental railway to the Gulf of Carpentaria on the principle of payment by land grants.
