We have been informed says the Post that a new volunteer company is about to be enrolled in Wellington, but we do not vouch for the accuracy of the information. It is proposed that the members shall consist exclusively of persons who have filed their schedules or assigned their estates. The promoters we are told, intend to call themselves the "Noble Army of Martyrs," biit a correspondent suggests " The Conquering Heroes" as being more appropriate. There is no doubt the company would be a very strong one. The appointment of the person most suitable for the office of captain is a subject on which opinions are very much divided.
