PUBLIC MEETING, LITTLE RIVER.

A meeting of the residents in Little River was held in the schoolroom on Tuesday evening, the 10th inst., to consider the action taken in Pigeon Bay and Akaroa re the subsidy, for tho mail by coach. Tbe meeting was well attended. *■ Mr A. Dr-Alfajiiwas voted to tho chair. '' 'The Chairman .having rend the notice convening jhemeeung, stated his reasons for calling it, and read the reports as published in the Akaroa Mail of the pnblic held in Pigeon Bay and Akaroa.
