A meeting of tho above Committee was i held in the schoolroom on Tuesday evening last. Present — Messrs Meech (Chairman), Westenra, Checkley, Adams, Sims, Billens and Missen. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE. Letters were read— From the schoolmaster, in reply to one received by him through the Committee from Mr Armstrong, complaining of the manner in which one of his children had been treated, Btating that she had been punished by the schoolmaster when she did not deserve it. to interfere in the matter.. . . , From the. 'Board - ef" Education, Christchurch, stating that no schoolmaster could act as secretary to his School Committee.
