UNCLAIMED LETTERS.
To the Editor qf the Akaroa Mail.
Sir,—Oit'lboking over the "Locals " of a South Canterbury paper, I saw a monthly list of the unclaimed letters lying at their ■post-officej and amongst them the name of a friend who had been living in that town, but since removed. ' :" ' Now, I thought what a splendid idea for our own paper to copy* lam sure our postmaster will not object to furnish you v Sir, with a list each month, and your subscrilvers will " ever pray," &c. ¥ '.. While on this subject, I can remember the time (away back in the dark ages) when our postmaster used'tb post up a list 'outside the office every month; but ov course'their duties were not so multifarious as in these modern times. One can always get stamps now, except when the key of the Hafe has gone to drrmer. By insortfng this you wilL receive the thanks of mofe'thah Yours, tfec, ' ■ ' -> . " ; BMNDISI.
