PURSUANT to "The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876," and "The Municipal Corporatioiiß Act. 1870," not'ce is hereby given that the following persons have been duly nominated as candidates for the office of Auditors for the Borough of Akaroa, viz. : — Daly, James Nichols, Alfred Watlrins, Stephen. And I further give notice that a POLL will be taken at the offices of the said Borough Council, on TUESDAY, the Ist day of June current, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., for the election of TWO of the above candidates to fill the said office of Auditors. IN accordance with section 80 of the above Act, the Property-Tax Commissioner hereby gives public notice that the 30th day of June next is the time, and the City of Christchurch is the place, at which all persons in the District of Canterbury are required to furnish statements of all real smd personal property belonging to them, in accordance with the said Act.
