London, May 22. Three per cent. Consols, 99f ; five per cent New Zealand loan 1889,105. At the wool sales to-day 7000 bales were offered, making a total of 261,900 bales catalogued since the opening of the sales, and shows a much better demand. * The English team in their match against the Australians made 106 runs. The Australians won the match by ten wickets. Spofforth took eight wickets. May 23. The Great Powers having come to an understanding, a letter has been written to Turkey in reference to the nonexecution of the Dcrlin Treaty so far as the same effects Greece and Montenegro. The Great Powers threaten an European conference at Berlin in July failing a settlement.
Suez, May 22. The Orient Company's steamer Chimborazo arrived here to-day.
