EXTRAORDINARY VACANCIES IN accordance with " The Municipal Corporations \ct, 1876," and " The Regulation of Local Elections Act," section 46, I hereby give notice that an ELECTION will be held at the office of the Akaroa Bnvong l ) Council, on Monday, ihe 7th day of June, 1880, for the pupose of electing a person to fill the office of MAYOR, rendered vacant by the resignation of C. J. Waeckerle, Esq. Also, that an ELECTION will be held at the same place on Tuesday, the Bth day of Jnne, J 880, for the purpose of electing ONE Councillor to fill an extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Councillor Chadwick. The NOMINATION of Candidates, which must be made in the manner provided in the 1 lth clause of the second recited Act, will be received at the said Borough Council office up to aoon on Saturday, the 20th day of May, 1880.
