CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.

The following is the Corn Exchange report for the week ending Friday evening, April 16,1880 :— The one noticable feature in the week that haß elapsed is the decline in wheat.

Wheat.—Prime milling quality cannot be quoted at over 3s 9d to 3s lOd per bushel. Large quantities of chick wheat are in tho market, and buyers are somewhat fastidious the prices range from 2s 6d to 3a, according to quality.

Oats. —The local demand is fairly good, and prices remain as before, Is 4d to Is Gd per bushel.

Barley.—Prime samples cannot be quoted at over 3s 3d to 3s lOd per bushel, with a rather sluggish demand. Feed and inferior parcels are in great abundance, and will not command over 2s Gd to 2s 9d per bushel.

Grass Seed continues to be dull of sale atid prices have not yet varied from last week's quotations. Cocksfoot—Small sale** are tnkmg j'laee at 2-jd per lb.

Potatoes. —Oriierd are coming into hand rather slowly, and purchasers do not appear to have made up their minds- aa to "prices. Nothing definite has yet been es{.itjished; approximate values, therefore, can only be given, being 30s to 35s per **>?■.; sacks extra.

Cheese and Butter.—The state of the market for this class of product*■ is precisely what it was last week, 5d to s£d for the former, to 9d for the latter.
