' The market during the past week has; not been particularly animated. < Wheat' continues to be received by rail an quantities for shipment, but sales have not 1 been current to any extent. The arrival; of tonnage lately, to load lias disposed of the fear entertained a short-time ago of a 1 stoppage from the want of carriage. Wheat.—Buyers are offering 3s 9d to 3s lOd, and for best parcels 3s lid. Chick, wheat is selling readily at 2s 6d to 3s. Oats are without the slightest -change,;, and transactions have been of a .most! retail character". Quotations remain at? Is 3d to Is £d foT feed, and Is 6d for milling. Barley continues exceedingly quiet,, and sales of other than the best kinds, are very hard to make. Values are unaltered. Flour has seen average business at £10 to £11. Potatoes. —Forward sales to a moderate, extent are reported at 27s 6d to 355, but prices will,in aweek or two be mow determined. The quality of the crop will be good although it'is stated that the quantity will not turn out so heavy as expected. Grass Seed.—We have no change to note in either -rye-grass or cocksfoot. The enquiry continues of the most languid character, and the.prospeot of an improvement seems remote.

Dairy Produce.—Cheese, 4£d to sd. Supply abundant. Butter is in moderate demand only.
