An open air meeting held on Saturday night, numbering 1800 persons, passed resolutions endorsing the action of the Legislative Council in amending the Stamp Duties Bill. The receipts from the Exhibition since its opening have amonnted to £42,462. His Excellency the Governor has assented to the Education Bill which was introduced by the Government.
