C<»iHif? n<ie8 —Garwood and Co., j Yangioni, Miles, Birdling, Shadbolt, Kissel, Lee. EXPORTS. Per Akaroa—l case. Shipper—Nalder. The Union Co.'s as. Hawea sailed from Port Chalmers for this port at 1.30 p.m. yesterday. She should arrive about seven o'clock this morning. An attempt was made on April 1 to raise the a.a. Taupo, which liea wrecked at Tauranga. Although unsuccessful, the attempt was such as to warrant the belief that ahe will be afloat this week or at the next trial. Canvas was got under her bottom, covering the majority of the holes, and her stern was moved four and a half feet. The mode of raising her, we believe, is to fill the fore-cabin with water and use screws, but it is eaid that there was hardly sullicient water in her to put the vessel down by the etem. It is to be hoped that the company will succeed in their enterprise. The ship Nebo, Captain Milne, 1583 tons, arrived at Lyttelton from Melbourne yesterday in ballast under charter to the New Zealand Shipping Co., to load for Home. The Nebo left Port Phillip on March 28. She readied the Heads on Sunday afternoon, but a South Westerly wind blowing, she was unable to beat in. During the present month five vassels have been despatched from tl*e Port of Lyttelton to ports in the United Kingdom, the vessels having an aggregate tonnage of 5457 tons. Seven vossels, giving a total of 8198 tons, have arrived during the month to load for Home, and at the present time there tre eleven vessels represeting 12,850 tons, on the berth for London and ether ports in the United Kingdom.
