Wanaka left Dunedin on Tuesday Inst at 6.30 p.m.; reached the Heads at 9.5 a.in., and notwithstanding the low state of the tide made fast to the wharf at •5.35 aim. She experienced a favourable wind and a calm sea. She left again for Lyttelton at 12.35. The s.s. Taiaroa loft Lyttelton at 2.30 p.m.; reached the Heads at 6.15 p.m.; came alongside the wharf at 6.35 p.m. Experienced favourable wind and calm sea. She sailed for Dunedin at 7.15 p.m. The Western Monarch at Lyttelton had 16,600 sacks of grain on board on Tuesday last. * She finished her loading on Wednesday and cleared the same day day. The Thurso was about half loaded on Tuesday, 2500 sacks of grain being •board ; the Marie had 5050 sacks. Both veesele are bound for Cape Town.
